Strengthening Medical Referral Pathways: Field Action From Vellore and Beyond

This was a productive week on the ground as outreach efforts focused on improving awareness among doctors and expanding referral networks.

🏥 Key Outreach Activities:

• FOP Trust referral letters were provided to Heads of:
  • Orthopedics
  • Pediatrics
  • Neonatology
  • Pediatric Oncology
    at CMC Vellore, along with senior private pediatricians.
• After covering Vellore district and CMC Chittoor, plans are underway to expand outreach to:
  Ranipet • Tirupattur • Kanchipuram • Thiruvallur
  with the possibility of covering Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and Karnataka, followed by North India.

Selva also shared that FOP Trust may participate again in the National Orthopedic Conference, as done last year, and potentially at a Pediatric Doctors’ Conference this year—both crucial platforms for awareness building.
