While IFOPA is a global organization, its greatest strength lies in how its tools make a difference at the local level. Through translated guides, emergency medical information, and patient handbooks, families across India are better equipped to manage the rare condition of Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP).
In July, several families in India used IFOPA’s resources to clarify dental care protocols, emergency response guidelines, and school accommodation templates. These tools are developed in partnership with patients, caregivers, and experts to ensure they are practical and reliable.
The Trust continues to direct newly diagnosed families to IFOPA’s platform, making knowledge accessible even in rural or non-English-speaking regions.
