This week focused on prevention of flare-ups and fast management of new swelling cases across multiple states.
🔹 Mayeshree from Manipur had a follow-up after her pamidronate therapy three months ago. While she is doing well, Dr Vrisha advised a second pamidronate cycle as precaution to prevent possible flare-ups.
Instructions and medication protocol were sent to the local hospital in Imphal. She was admitted on 20 November, completed therapy, and was discharged safely on 22 November.
🔹 Ashok Joshi from Maharashtra consulted for a new flare-up and received immediate medication guidance from Dr Vrisha. His response will be reviewed in two weeks.
🔹 Rupam Kait’s parents (West Bengal) happily reported that their child is doing well and attending school regularly.
🔹 Kartik Pateriya from Madhya Pradesh is showing good progress after pamid therapy. His sister’s doubts about future dosage cycles were fully clarified.
🔹 Arzaan from Nagpur is waiting to receive pamidronate. Guidelines to administer therapy have already been shared with the local pediatric doctor. Arrangements are in progress to supply the injection via pharmacy/medical representative to avoid delay.
🔹 On 22 November, Rupam’s parents informed that prednisolone was not improving symptoms after 3 days. The message was forwarded to Dr Vrisha for further instructions.
This week highlights how timely intervention and ongoing family communication are critical to protecting children from long-term complications.
