Awareness in Action: Reaching Families and Communities

September’s awareness activities highlighted the power of both partnerships and grassroots action.

Pamphlets were distributed during a government health and welfare camp in Vellore City, bringing FOP knowledge directly to families who may otherwise never hear of the condition. These efforts reduce the risk of harmful procedures and promote early diagnosis.

Simultaneously, partnerships with groups like the Lions Club and Rotary Club opened doors to larger awareness campaigns planned for 2025–26. These collaborations will allow the Trust to reach thousands more people across hospitals, schools, and community centers.

Awareness also spread within families. Patients like Sanskriti and Geetika received preventive advice—spirometer use, helmet safety, and flare-up protocols—ensuring that awareness translates into everyday protection.
