On 25 October 2025, the Lions Club of Vellore hosted its World Polio Day program at Bramma Gnana Sangam. With support from FOP Trust, the event included a special FOP awareness segment to educate health professionals and the public about the rare disease.
Pamphlets were released by Dr. Prakash Iyappan, Senior Orthopedic Surgeon, Tamil Nadu Government Hospital, and received by Lion Er. Devaraj, Regional Chairperson of Lions International. The initiative symbolized the growing integration of rare disease education into mainstream public health campaigns.
