Day One: Compassion in Action (June 9, 2025)
The week began with patient check-ins. Ms. Asha Shetty was healing from jaw pain after using a gel prescribed by Dr. Rajesh. Samed Ali had recovered from a fever. Lashmamma, who completed a course of antibiotics, reported less gum pain.
Meanwhile, Pranav, a recent surgery patient, was recovering well. Although his suture removal was delayed due to a minor blood clot, it was resolved with dressing. Contact was made with the manager of Pravagam AHS Nursing Training Centre. They agreed to host an FOP awareness session after their upcoming exams.
Day Two: Addressing Medical Concerns and Educating Future Nurses (June 10, 2025)
A new concern arose when Mayeshree developed swelling following pamidronate therapy. The case was quickly escalated to Dr. Vrisha Madhuri for review.
Later that day, an FOP awareness session was held for diploma nursing students. Pamphlets were distributed and key signs of early diagnosis were discussed. Planning continued for a similar session with degree students in July.
Day Three: Coordinating Care and Building Partnerships (June 11, 2025)
A consultation at Amara Hospital was arranged for young Arzaan. Archisman’s father confirmed his child’s recovery after pamidronate therapy. Lashmamma shared that her gum pain had improved by 70%. Pranav’s sutures were removed, and he was advised to wear a protective headgear.
Discussions began with the principal of PSG College of Nursing in Coimbatore about organizing a joint awareness event involving ten local nursing colleges.
With Dr. Vrisha on leave, a home visit was made to meet Kanish in Avinashi, a new patient referred by Dr. Mohan Prasad of PSG Hospital. The family received guidance and reassurance during the visit.
